Philadelphia and Danvers, Mass.– Demonstrating its expertise in solid state lighting innovation, North American lighting leader OSRAM SYLVANIA announced the OSRAM Distributed Array Gen II LED Module portfolio. Designed to provide similar performance to linear fluorescent systems with extremely efficient LED system solutions, Distributed Array Gen II LED Modules offer luminaire manufacturers design flexibility to meet the requirements for a variety of general ambient lighting applications for office spaces, retail spaces and educational facilities. OSRAM SYLVANIA will be demonstrating the Distributed Array Gen II LED Module Portfolio and a full portfolio of solid state and traditional lighting solutions, controls and systems at Booth #1001 at LIGHTFAIR® International 2013, the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference.

“Available in multiple board sizes, Distributed Array Gen II LED Modules deliver an even and diffuse light that reduces the need for multiple optical layers, simplifying the luminaire design and maximizing optical efficiency,” said Rob Hamerstrom, product marketing manager LED Modules, OSRAM SYLVANIA.

Delivering exceptional efficacy up to 145 lumens per watt, Distributed Array Gen II boards feature a uniform LED grid pattern enabling better optical control. Thermal self-management due to the board design eliminates the need for supplemental heat sinking, simplifying luminaire design with a rated life of 60,000 hours (L70) when temperature at Tc point is maintained at 85°C. Distributed Array Gen II LED Modules are available in 3000K, 3500K, 4000K and 5000K color correlated temperatures with a color rendering index over 80. Excellent color consistency within 3 MacAdam steps enables high quality lighting to be achieved.

Featuring a parallel design for serial wiring, Distributed Array Gen II LED Modules have poke in wire connectors that accept 18 AWG wires eliminating the need for a wiring harness. Fully compatible with dimming systems, Distributed Array Gen II LED Modules deliver maximum system performance and life expectancy when paired with high-efficiency OPTOTRONIC® single or multi-channel constant current dimmable power supplies, including the new OPTOTRONIC 40W Programmable Constant Current LED Power Supply (OT40W). This unique solution offers architectural grade dimming to an ultra-low 1 percent to address even the most demanding solid state lighting applications. The output current is programmable by an OEM across a wide range, simplifying the manufacturing process and allowing performance requirements to be tailored to exceed energy targets for green building projects. Specifiers and OEMs can use the versatile 40W OPTOTRONIC power supply for numerous lighting applications that may otherwise require many different alternatives.
