OSRAM SYLVANIA Expands its Light Management Systems Portfolio with the Introduction of Intelligent LED Control Systems
Dynamic Control Products Offer Increased Flexibility and Efficiency for Solid-State Lighting Systems

Philadelphia and Danvers, Mass. (May 17, 2011) – Leading the way in providing cutting-edge solid-state lighting (SSL) solutions, North American lighting leader OSRAM SYLVANIA introduces three new intelligent control products to its SYLVANIA Light Management Systems portfolio, designed specifically for light emitting diode (LED) systems.

The OPTOTRONIC® EASY 60, part of the EASY Color Control Family, is the ideal solution for controlled color sequencing for ambient lighting, daylight simulation, and decorative lighting schemes. The unit, controls up to 60W of 24 Volt red, green, blue and white LEDs. The unit includes; full range dimming from 0 to 100 percent, a wide range of scene control options and the ability to store and retrieve either static or dynamic lighting scenes. Lighting scenes can be quickly created using SYLVANIA EASY Color Control PC software and rapidly downloaded to the controller. The OPTOTRONIC EASY 60 system can control up to 64 addresses of LED lighting.

Also new to the SYLVANIA Light Management Systems portfolio are OSRAM SYLVANIA’s DIM MULTIeco and DALI® MULTIeco control modules. The DIM MULTIeco and DALI MULTIeco are daylight and presence-dependent controllers offering 14 different operating modes, a wide variety of sensor options and compact dimensions to fit practically any application. Each control module accepts input from up to two sensors, making it possible to integrate daylighting and occupancy control within a single system to maximize energy conservation. Target light levels may be programmed, but it is also easy to adjust the set value and brightness manually for increased occupant comfort and energy savings. The MULTIeco controller is easy to program and can control up to 6 luminaires, consuming less than 0.5 watts in standby mode. The DIM MULTIeco and DALI® MULTIeco control modules provide customized control for application specific lighting, and are ideal for retail, office, hospitality and other commercial environments where saving energy is a priority.

Another addition to the SYLVANIA Light Management Systems portfolio is the OPTOTRONIC OTi DALI DIM, a compact control interface module that enables fixture-based digital control of light levels. The OPTOTRONIC OTi DALI DIM is controllable though a digital addressable lighting interface (DALI) and utilizes a pulse width modulator (PWM) to control LED light levels for smooth dimming from 0 to 100 percent light. As an option to using DALI protocol for input, using the Touch DIM® functionality, it is also possible to control and program light levels from a push button switch. The OPTOTRONIC OTi DALI DIM is ideal for controlling high efficiency white LED arrays for next generation office lighting.

These new SYLVANIA Light Management Systems products offer preference control and energy efficiency optimization specifically for solid-state lighting systems, making system customization and energy savings as easy and simple as possible.
