High-Definition LED Lamps Offer Unique Combination of High Lumens, Premium Color Quality and Energy Savings

Philadelphia and Danvers, Mass. (May 17, 2011) – Known for delivering exceptional quality, high performance products and sustainable solutions across all applications, North American lighting leader OSRAM SYLVANIA is pleased to introduce its latest series of LED lamps, the SYLVANIA ULTRA HD Professional Series. Featuring energy-efficient technology and an innovative design, SYLVANIA ULTRA HD Professional Series LED lamps are an ideal solution for retail, hospitality, healthcare, museum and high-end residential settings.

As the closest rival to halogen lamps in today’s market, SYLVANIA ULTRA HD Professional Series LED products offer exceptional color quality with a color rendering index (CRI) of 95, together with rich deep-red content with an R9 index that is greater than 50. In addition, these lamps offer high lumen output, robust dimming functionality, attractive styling and are suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The ULTRA HD Professional Series lamps offer energy savings of between 70-80 percent and last from 10-20 times longer than halogen lamps.

he color performance of SYLVANIA ULTRA HD Professional Series LED lamps includes superior color consistency, achieved through a rigorous LED binning process. The LEDs are selected to ensure color consistency within a 3-step MacAdam ellipse tolerance at elevated temperatures to ensure that the binning process yields the best performance in application.

Currently available in four lamp types – PAR20, PAR30, PAR30LN, and PAR38 – the SYLVANIA ULTRA HD Professional Series lamps are quick and easy to install into practically any application and the exceptionally smooth dimming performance down to 10 percent make them suitable for nearly all residential, office or other commercial installations.

These lamps are RoHS compliant, mercury and lead free providing environmentally-preferable choices.
