OSRAM SYLVANIA Showcases Complete Street, Area and Parking Facility LED Lighting Systems
Comprehensive Solution Set Pairs State-of-the-Art LED Luminaires with Wireless Lighting Control Systems

Las Vegas and Danvers, Mass. (May 9, 2012) – Committed to delivering high-quality, sustainable lighting solutions, North American lighting leader OSRAM SYLVANIA is pleased to showcase its portfolio of outdoor LED lighting systems at this year’s LIGHTFAIR International Tradeshow and Conference. Designed to meet the growing demand for efficiency, controllability and flexibility in outdoor lighting solutions, the solution set combines the innovative OSRAM ProPoint™ portfolio of outdoor LED luminaires with the new OSRAM Wireless Outdoor Control System to deliver high quality, efficient illumination with system-wide wireless control, scheduling and monitoring capabilities.

As energy-efficient, longer-life alternatives to traditional outdoor lighting technologies, the OSRAM ProPoint LED fixtures have a long life of 50,000 hours and consume over 70 percent less energy than HID lamps with improved color rendering over traditional technologies. Designed for easy installation and maintenance, ProPoint Outdoor Luminaires come in an array of fixture types including round canopy, square canopy, wall panel, and shoebox designs. The OSRAM outdoor fixtures are available in several color temperatures, ranging from 4500K to 6000K, and a variety of distribution patterns to provide an ideal solution for virtually any outdoor street, area and parking facility lighting application.

Pairing the ProPoint LED Luminaires with the new  OSRAM Wireless Outdoor Control System allows end users to intelligently control, manage and monitor their outdoor LED lighting systems, and is an ideal solution for meeting the exterior lighting requirements of applicable energy codes. Compatible with daylight and occupancy sensors, the wireless Control System features astronomic and real-time clocks that enable scheduling according to sunrise, sunset and midnight time, helping to manage energy consumption and save energy when areas are unoccupied. With almost any standard personal computer, users can create custom, addressable zones of fixtures for simplified, system-wide management. The reporting features of the wireless Control System enable remote monitoring of the operational state, energy consumption and burn hours of LED luminaires in real time, and the system will distribute real-time alerts when a lamp or power supply fails. The reporting functionality also enables the collection of historical data on energy usage and burn-time, allowing customers further insight on how to maximize the efficiency of outdoor LED lighting systems.
