OSRAM SYLVANIA Introduces ULTRA PAR38 LED Lamps with CCT Dimming
LED Lamp Mimics Incandescent Color Temperature Change During Dimming

Las Vegas and Danvers, Mass. (May 9, 2012) – Dedicated to continual innovation in the solid-state lighting (SSL) industry, North American lighting leader OSRAM SYLVANIA is pleased to announce a new addition to its ULTRA LED lamp portfolio, the OSRAM SYLVANIA ULTRA PAR38 LED lamp with CCT Dimming technology. An industry exclusive, SYLVANIA CCT Dimming technology gives the LED lamp dimming characteristics that mimic incandescent lamps – the color temperature of the LEDs is reduced from 3000K to 2000K as the lamp is dimmed. The ULTRA PAR38 LED lamps offer energy savings up to 80 percent and last up to 20 times longer than the medium base 75W PAR38 halogen lamps they are designed to replace, saving customers both maintenance and lamp replacement costs.

“This is the LED technology that the market has been waiting for,” said Ellen Sizemore, Product Marketing Manager, OSRAM SYLVANIA. “Our CCT dimming technology mimics incandescent lighting in a way that SSL technology never could before – at a fraction of the energy use.”

The color performance of all SYLVANIA ULTRA PAR38 LED lamps includes superior color consistency, achieved through a rigorous LED binning process. RoHS-compliant, mercury and lead-free, OSRAM SYLVANIA LED lamps are environmentally-preferable choices over less efficient technologies.
