OSRAM SYLVANIA Debuts OSRAM KREIOS® FL (Flood Light) LED Fixture at LDI 2012
New LED Work Light for Indoor and Outdoor Use Combines Superb Color Rendering and Energy Savings, Ideal for Theatre Production

Las Vegas, Nv. and Danvers, Mass. (October 19, 2012) –  Known for bringing innovative products to market, North American lighting leader OSRAM SYLVANIA is proud to introduce the new OSRAM KREIOS® FL (Flood Light) LED Fixture at this year’s LDI 2012. As an energy-efficient solution for stage, studio, television and production lighting, the KREIOS FL can help preserve more expensive show lighting as the go-to light for dress practices and rehearsals.

Designed with a luminous intensity equivalent to a 300W halogen fixture, the KREIOS FL uses 80 percent less power than traditional halogen lamps, thus saving on electricity and ambient cooling costs. With an estimated lamp life of 40,000 hours – twenty times longer than a traditional halogen lamp – the KREIOS FL yields significant savings in replacement lamp and labor costs as well.

Emitting 3,300 lumens with a high CRI of 85, the KREIOS FL can not only help deliver energy savings but also provide accurate color rendering during set work and rehearsals. This helps stage crews save production lighting, typically very expensive with limited lamp life, for show time.

“Theatre lighting must have great color rendering so audiences can see the intricate details of the sets and costumes,” said Jack Burwick, Product Marketing Manager, OSRAM SYLVANIA. “The KREIOS FL is the perfect solution to help preserve show lighting, helping producers and designers see their productions in the best possible light during dress rehearsals, practices and set design work.”

Featuring a black “stealth” body color and silent cooling feature to ensure a low profile during use, the KREIOS FL is easy to install and mount anywhere, requiring no hard wiring or installation. With an IP65 rating, the KREIOS FL can also be used to light large outdoor areas without weather protection.
