OSRAM SYLVANIA Expands Line of LEDstixx® Lighting Systems to Offer Display Case Lighting
LED Retrofit System for Linear Fluorescent Display Case Lighting Enhances ‘Sparkle’ in Jewelry and Merchandise

Philadelphia and Danvers, Mass. (May 17, 2011) – Continuing its commitment to developing state-of-the-art LED technologies and products for today’s market, North American lighting leader OSRAM SYLVANIA has expanded its line of LEDstixx® Lighting Systems, introducing a retrofit system for linear fluorescent systems in display case lighting. The new LEDstixx Lighting System for Display Cases is energy efficient and ideally suited to highlight jewelry and merchandise in retail applications.

An industry first, the LEDstixx Lighting System for Display Cases brings jewelry and merchandise to life. As directional light sources, LEDs have the ability to be precisely aimed, creating significant “sparkle” on display contents, an effect that is not attainable with diffuse light sources such as fluorescent systems. The LEDstixx Lighting System for Display Cases also eliminates glare and stray color and reduces “light spill” in display case settings, allowing for optimal showcasing of jewelry and merchandise. The LEDstixx Lighting System for Display Cases utilizes state-of-the-art narrow beam LEDs from OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, advanced binning techniques for consistent color temperature, as well as intelligent optical design to address the specific requirements of display case lighting.

The LEDstixx Lighting System for Display Cases is incredibly flexible and customizable to fit a wide variety of display case sizes and applications. Available in one-foot to four-foot lengths, in six-inch increments, the LEDstixx Lighting System features fixed and flexible interconnects to ensure seamless runs and continuity around corners, as well as a quick snap mount feature for simple, easy and safe installations. The system delivers further flexibility with 75 degree angular rotation and availability in multiple output levels, making it suitable for any display application.

In addition to the LEDstixx Lighting System for Display Cases, OSRAM SYLVANIA also offers a LEDstixx Lighting System for Vertical Refrigeration, available with either bi-pin or bracket mounts for easy retrofit installation for fluorescent lamps in freezer and refrigeration applications. Highly efficient, OSRAM SYLVANIA’s LEDstixx Lighting Systems offer a 50,000 hour rated life and up to 70 percent energy savings over traditional fluorescent systems. RoHS compliant and UL listed, OSRAM SYLVANIA’s LEDstixx Lighting Systems are an ideal, energy efficient solution for retailers and merchandisers.
