T5HO Lamps with Unsurpassed 60,000 Hour Life
Toronto, Ont. and Danvers, Mass. (October 4, 2011) – At the forefront of sustainable lighting innovation, North American lighting leader OSRAM SYLVANIA is pleased to expand its portfolio of long-life fluorescent lamps with the introduction of the PENTRON® HO XL ECOLOGIC® 54-watt lamp. At 60,000 hours of lamp life, the RoHS compliant, ECOLOGIC lamp delivers 71 percent longer life than the current industry standard for fluorescent lamps.
Offered in a range of color temperatures, from 3000K to 6500K with a CRI of 82, the PENTRON HO XL delivers the same 5,000 initial lumens and 93% mean lumens as the standard PENTRON HO fluorescent lamps, and at 93 lumens per watt, the long-life fluorescent rivals LEDs in efficiency and longevity. In addition to their long life, these dimmable, ECOLOGIC lamps also feature lead-free glass, making them an excellent choice to meet stringent energy codes and sustainability objectives.
Aside from the 71 percent increase above industry standard in lamp life, when paired with OSRAM SYLVANIA’s new, exclusive QUICKTRONIC® POWERSENSE® High Efficiency,  RoHS compliant dimming ballasts, the system is the category’s most flexible, energy efficient, general lighting solution. These QUICKTRONIC fluorescent lighting systems are warranted for 5 years under OSRAM SYLVANIA’s QUICK60+® system warranty that covers both the lamps and ballasts.
The new PENTRON HO XL ECOLOGIC 54W lamp is the latest innovation in OSRAM SYLVANIA’s eXtended Life line of fluorescent systems that also includes the OCTRON® and OCTRON SUPERSAVER® 800 XP XL ECOLOGIC 3® lamps, which tout and average rated life of up to 55,000 hours.  These long-lasting fluorescent solutions have the industry’s longest lamp lives and boast up to 96 lumens per watt. With several QUICKTRONIC High Efficiency  ballasts options to choose from and the QUICK60+ system warranty of up to 5 years on lamps and ballasts, OSRAM SYLVANIA’s eXtended Life fluorescent systems are a affordable and effective choice to help customers save energy and maintenance costs as well as benefit from high quality and sustainable lighting performance.
