OSRAM SYLVANIA Introduces New Portfolio of Directional LED Modules
New LED Modules Are An Ideal Halogen Replacement for Directional and Accent Lighting

Las Vegas and Danvers, Mass. (May 9, 2012) As a leader in designing innovative solid-state lighting (SSL) solutions, North American lighting leader OSRAM SYLVANIA is proud to introduce its new portfolio of Directional LED Modules: the COINlight® AR111, the COINlight Pro and the DRAGONpuck. Designed to replace MR11, MR16 and related halogen solutions, this new family of LED modules is an ideal solution for directional and accent lighting, offering increased energy savings and excellent light quality.

COINlight AR111

The OSRAM COINlight AR111 module utilizes 12 high power LEDs to achieve greater than 60 percent energy savings over its 75W halogen counterpart. With its high lumen package delivering up to 1200 lumens, the COINlight AR111 will fit into the footprint of most standard halogen AR111 fixtures. The innovative, integrated heat sink does not require additional thermal management for optimum energy saving performance benefits. Delivering an estimated 30,000 hours (L70) of life in 3000K and 4000K color temperatures, the COINlight AR111 is available in both 24º and 45º beam angles. The COINlight AR111 is an ideal module for use in recessed downlight, spot light and track-mounted luminaires in museums, shopping malls, hotels, show rooms, restaurants and related commercial and residential applications.

COINlight Pro

The OSRAM COINlight Pro LED module is an efficient alternative to halogen MR16 lamps. With comparable light output to both MR11 and MR16 halogen lamps, the COINlight Pro delivers excellent color rendering with a high CRI of 85. The available heat sink helps manage temperature to maximize its long life – an estimated 50,000 hours (L70). The COINlight Pro offers three levels of light outputs at a 36° beam angle that is comparable to 20W, 35W and 50W halogen MR16 lamps with a 35° beam angle. Similar to the COINlight AR111, the COINlight Pro is a great alternative for use in fixtures in restaurants, hotels, corridors, elevators, shelves and under cabinet lighting.

As a complete, compact LED module offering an efficient alternative to new halogen MR11 and MR16 products, the OSRAM DRAGONpuck module is characterized by a long LED life – an estimated 50,000 hours (L70) – and a high CRI of 85 in both 2700K and 5700K. Like the COINlight Pro, the DRAGONpuck offers light output comparable to 20W, 35W and 50W halogen MR16 lamps. The pre-wired module is designed for easy installation and the optional heat sink maximizes life and output, helping fixture designers to maximize the efficiency of their LED systems. The DRAGONpuck is also dimmable by pulse width modulation and is available in two diameters: DP35 – 1.37” and DP51 – 2.00”.
