Automotive Lighting 101

Headlights are powerful lights mounted to the front of your vehicle that help illuminate the roadway in front of you. A complete headlight unit consists of a bulb, a reflector and a power supply.

Fog lights are positioned on or below the front bumper of your vehicle. Fog lights provide a wider beam pattern and are mounted lower than headlights to illuminate below the normal line of sight to minimize reflected light and help you see better in adverse conditions.

Signal lights are brake, park and turn signal lights that alert other drivers when your vehicle is decelerating, stopping or turning.
